Michael Hernandez began his professional teaching career in 1976 as an Instructor/Counselor in a private rehabilitation center for troubled youth. Later he became a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor upon completion of his Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. He is employed by the State of California Division of Workers compensation. Michael has been an instructor at IEA for more than 25 years, teaching the school’s Workers’ Compensation and Disability Management curriculum, including CA8, CA14 and CPDM 1.
Mission: Michael believes in the value of continuing education for his fellow insurance industry professionals.
Education: He holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from Pitzer College.
