Over his 17-year career in the workers’ compensation claim industry Bill Gray has grown his experience through working at the defense law firm Gray & Prouty, The Hartford insurance company, two third party administrators Sedgwick and Gallagher Bassett, and a public entity the County of Sacramento. He is a workers’ compensation claims examiner handling claims for the County of Sacramento who is a self-insured and self-administered employer. He works with defense attorneys to either settle claims or take them to trial to resolve disputed issues and helps injured employees return to work when possible. In addition, Bill gives presentations to employees promoted to be supervisors on the benefits of accepted claims and what forms need to be filled out when reporting new claims. Using his wealth of experience Bill has been requested to train new claims adjusters as a part of a training program. He enjoys educating others and passing his knowledge along to help those involved understand the workers’ compensation claim process.

    The WCCA™ instructor-led classes offered by IEA provides credit hours toward California adjuster compliance, however if your goal is to acquire the 120-hour mandated requirement, our Claims Practitioner in Workers’ Compensation (CWPC) is ideally streamlined for that purpose.

    If you are taking WCCA15 as part of the Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration (WCCA™) series and plan to earn the certification, you must sign up for, and pass, the National Exam. You can purchase the exam from The Institutes.  IEA’s WCCA10 course prepares you to take the National exam by providing instructor-led training as well as quizzes and assignments to test your knowledge.

    You do not need to pass the IEA class in order to register for the exam with The Institutes.  The IEA class is designed to help you prepare to take the exam and to provide an in-depth learning experience in California workers’ compensation. You’ll benefit from the expertise of professionals with extensive field experience .
